Support Me

Today is a more sobering day for mental health:

I am addressing a process of recovery recognizing negative self-talk and catastrophic mood swings.  My meds treat me for mood swings, depression, and psychosis.  For every up, there is a down, but for every down, there may not be an up.  Suicide is a permanent solution for a temporary problem.

I may center myself by identifying and repeating "negative self-talk" or "catastrophic mood swings".  Words like "impetus" and "momentum" help get the ball rolling.  "Easy does it" helps.  Good mantras encourage me when nothing else seems to stack up.

I learned worry causes fear which causes stress.

I learned to "blow off" nagging or petty conscientious thoughts.

I learned to become a problem solver for myself and for others.

I learned that delusions at the end of the day are a product of my imagination.

I shall join you at the NAMI Walks 2024 on Saturday, May 11th, at Creve Coeur Park/Lake in Maryland Heights reuniting at the Tremayne Shelter @ nine- thirty AM.

The Walk raises awareness for individuals at risk to find access to fine opportunities looking for help helping others in Greater Saint Louis.  The Walk is well staffed with many volunteers helping out.  Additionally, the Walk is pet friendly.  Bring your dog along.

I take part for NAMI as "lived experience" panelist for the Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) training programs for City and County law enforcement officers along with corrections officers.

You may choose to make a gift anonymously, and your will shall be respected as well.

For a check donation, please make out the check to "NAMI-Saint Louis", mailing the check to me at my home address below.  I shall record your contribution on my NAMI personal walker webpage and pass your check to the NAMI-Saint Louis office for deposit at the bank.
