The Event:
Where is NAMIWalks Delaware?

What time is the event? Check in begins at 9:30am. Walk step off is at 10:40am Wrap up is at 12:00pm.
Do I need to pay to get into the park? No. Just let the ticket booth attendee know you are there for the NAMIWalk and they will let you in. The booth will be staffed starting at 9:00am.
What if it rains? The event is rain or shine! If it rains, we will be in the barn for the duration of the event.
Are Dogs Allowed? Friendly dogs are absolutely welcome at NAMIWalks Delaware! Please keep dogs leashed at all times.
Are there bathrooms available? Yes, there are restrooms inside the barn.
Should I bring food? We will have one food vendor, Blue Hen BBQ at the walk where you can buy delicious food! We will also have Raspados Bayu, Mexican Shaved Ice with a variety of flavors and Lucky Shot Coffee Co, with their delicious coffee.
Parking/Walk Course
Where do I park? You can park in the lot next to the barns, or in the lot across from the barn lot. Here is a diagram of the course map and parking lots
How long is the walk course?
It is a 5k.
Can I run instead of walk?
NAMIWalks is a non-competitive event, so the majority of people will be walkers. If you would like to run, please run off to the side and be considerate of our walkers!
Are strollers allowed?
Yes! Strollers and wagons are allowed. We are family-friendly and hope to see all of you on Walk Day, May 4.th!
Do I have to walk the whole course?
Walkers are encouraged to walk as little or as much as they would like.
Registration
How do I register?
You can register ahead of time online at namiwalks.org/Delaware and click "Register". You can sign in if you already have an account from a previous year. Click "forgot password" and reset it if you do not remember it from before.

Registration is free!
I already registered. Do I need to check in at the walk?
Each participant must check in on the day of the event. Registration and check in starts at 9:30am the day of the walk.
Can I check in my entire team as a Team Captain?
No, every participant needs to check in individually.
Can I register the day of the walk?
Yes. Please stop by the registration and check in table to fill out a registration form.
Donations:
Can I donate offline or send in my check/cash donations prior to the Walk?
Absolutely! We accept cash and checks mailed to our NAMI Delaware office at:
2400 West 4th Street, Wilmington, DE 19805
Please include the name of the Walker and the team the donation should be applied to. Make all checks out to NAMI Delaware.
Can I donate at the Walk?
Of course! We encourage everyone to donate on Walk Day. Walk Day is a celebration of months’ worth of community conversations leading up to the event, but reaching our fundraising goal is important, too! Funds raised through NAMIWalks allow us to continue and expand important NAMI programs throughout our state.
We accept payments in the form of cash, check or Venmo.
T Shirts
I raised $100 or more...I'm getting a shirt right?
Yep! When you finish checking in, pop on over to the t-shirt table to pick up your shirt. Although we do our best to have a large variety of sizes available, it is impossible to predict what needs will be on Walk Day.
All shirts are on a first-come, first-serve basis!
I have 3 people who donated $100 each to me (or my team) - do they get shirts?
No, shirts are only for individual fundraisers who raise at least $100.
Our team has 5 people and we raised a combined $500, do we get 5 shirts?
No. Shirts are for individual fundraisers who raise at least $100.
