Join the NAMIWalks Maine Kick-Off on Thursday, July 28 from 3 - 6 PM.  It will be an afternoon creative Tie-Dye fun and learning all about Maine's growing mental health movement.

When it comes to mental health - we are ALL connected and we are ALL affected. So, when you walk with NAMI Maine – you walk for all of us.

Every year NAMI Maine, the Maine Chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, brings people together to raise mental health awareness, build community, foster hope, and open doors to support. With the goal of advancing mental health support, education, and advocacy for all– NAMI Maine calls upon the community to join Maine’s Mental Health Movement! 

The Mental Health Movement is for Everyone. 

You can register as an individual or with Walk Team. 

How will you be participating? 

1. In-Person: with NAMI Maine

Join the NAMI Maine Community on Saturday, October 8th for Maine's largest Mental Health Awareness Event! Hope blossoms when we rally together. We’ll cheer each other on while raising our voices to be heard, united in our commitment to our cause. The festivities will start at 9:00 AM am include a mental health awareness walk (1mile, handicap accessible), community resources, local artists, creative fun and games! 

  • Bubbles McGee is returning to #NAMIWalks Maine, and she is bringing her vast collection of bubble props to give you an unforgettable experience. 
  • "Obi Wan is not your only hope." Are you a Star Wars fan? Then you won't want to miss this **special appearance.** Get your photo taken with the New England Garrison and let's remind the galaxy that #MentalHealthMatters

*Friendly, leashed dogs are welcome at NAMIWalks Maine. You may bring leashed dogs at your own risk.

2. Your Way: On Your Day

Can't make it on October 8th? Or would you prefer to advance mental health on your terms? 

Join the Mental Health Movement YOUR Way on YOUR Day!  Walk, dance, sing, kayak, ATV, explore, create, connect, learn... Join NAMIWalks by doing what you LOVE! This movement is all about starting more caring conversations about mental health to get more people connected to help and hope.
