Let's celebrate: Together for Mental Health!

Walk Day on Saturday was fantastic!

Thank you to everyone who volunteered, participated, sponsored and donated. With your help, we had a terrific event and have almost reached our fundraising goal of $90,000!

Please consider making a donation to help us get there.

Registered participants have until June 21st to fundraise and earn a recognition gift.

Remember every dollar raised helps NAMI help people who've been affected by mental illness build better lives.

Lance supports the work that NAMI South Dakota does to improve the lives of people affected by mental illness. Here's what he says about his commitment to mental health:
"NAMI is a great resource for people dealing with mental health issues plus an avenue for me to reach out and help others.  Sometimes hearing other peoples’ personal journeys brings some comfort and maybe a nudge to seek out professional help. Hopefully, by volunteering through NAMI I can provide some personal insight and resources to promote mental wellness. My personal goal is to assist with overcoming the stigma associated with mental health issues. The stigma is even greater in rural areas, especially small-town America. The desire to seek out professional help is a huge hurdle to overcome and becomes even more challenging when professional services are not readily available.  Rural small-town America is a lifestyle many of us would not give up – however, with everyone knowing everyone, the confidentiality aspect adds to the mental health stigma.  Hopefully together we can identify innovative means for accessing professional help and education to 'end the stigma'".
