Celebrate 20 Years of NAMIWalks...

Remember, the theme of this year is NAMIWalks Your Way!

You can participate in this year's NAMIWalks campaign in any way that makes you most comfortable!

NAMIWalks Your Way Maryland will include a virtual showcase on
Saturday, May 21st, 2022, and an in-person, invite-only VIP Wrap-Up Party on July 9th, 2022.

Creativity Rules: Here's what just a few of participants are doing this year:

  • Walking 7,000+ steps for a 5K their way
  • Planning a craft day with their kids
  • Holding a virtual bake-off with their team
  • Hosting a NAMIWalks Paint-by-Numbers Party with their team
  • Practicing self-care with a favorite hobby: yoga, gardening, knitting
  • Doing a 5K on the treadmill or stationary bike
  • Creating a safe and socially distanced stroll in their neighborhood

Take photos and videos and share your activity on favorite social media with the link to your walk fundraising page and the hashtag #Together4MH and #CreativityConnects. Together we can make a difference for people affected by mental illness.

The only limit of NAMIWalks Your Way is staying safe, healthy, and inspired. Share your ideas with us!

The very first NAMIWalks campaign was held in Maryland 20 years ago. What was once a small gathering of family members and advocates in Howard County has now grown into the nation's largest and most successful grassroots fundraising campaign, taking place in 120 locations across the country.

NAMI Maryland was the foundation of this incredible movement, and we invite you to celebrate this milestone with us as a participant for our NAMIWalks Your Way Maryland campaign.

This campaign will build on last year’s success and will continue to explore and expand on the positive ways the arts impact mental health.  We're excited to share that this year will be a hybrid of virtual and private, in-person events that will begin in early spring and will include a virtual art showcase on Saturday, May 21st, 2022, and an in-person, invite only VIP Wrap-Up Party on Saturday, July 9th, 2022.

There are many ways you can make a difference via NAMIWalks: as a sponsor, team captain, team member, or an individual participant.  Registering for NAMIWalks is quick, easy, and free.  Every individual participant who raises $100 or more receives our exclusive 2022 NAMIWalks Your Way Maryland t-shirt.

However you participate in NAMIWalks, you will be joining NAMI's national movement!

Sponsorship Deadline is 4/15/22!

We can only reach our goals with the support of dedicated organizations in our community.  Your sponsorship will demonstrate to your employees and our community of more than 55,000 individuals, families, and organizations that you are committed to improving the lives of individuals with mental health conditions and their family members. Relative to your sponsorship level, you may receive a video ad/speaking opportunity during our programming, social media shout-outs throughout the campaign, exclusive tickets and booth space at our VIP NAMIWalks Wrap-Up Party, inclusion on our official t-shirt, and so much more.

Additional opportunities include:

  • Speaking opportunities at our VIP NAMIWalks Wrap-Up Party
  • Name inclusion in the official press release
  • Logo included in electronic communications
  • Table space at the VIP NAMIWalks Wrap-Up Party
  • Ad placement during the Virtual Art Showcase on 5/21/22
  • Banner ad placement on the NAMIWalks Maryland website
