Welcome to my personal NAMIWalks fundraising page. Your here because your interested in learning more. I thank you for taking the time. My son Kyle died on September 27, 2017 from abuse of the drug Methadone. The abuse of drugs took hold of his life, mind and body in 2016 and less than two years later he was dead. At the time, I knew very little about drug addiction and it's devastating effects on the brain. Many times we did not know where to turn or who to call. The stigma associated with addiction and mental illness is real and unfortunately, as a result, they are not viewed in the same light as other "accepted" diseases or illnesses. That must change! I am walking with NAMI because the work they do is very important to stamping out that stigma. NAMI (the National Alliance on Mental Illness) is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans impacted by mental illness.
Donating to NAMI through my page is easy, fast and secure. Your donation will make a difference and help people and families affected by mental illness right here in our region. Thank you for your support!
