Note: Parking is free in the several garages and lots at RIO.
*The Walk itself will take place around the lake. One lap around is just shy of one mile; we hope participants will choose to do multiple laps around the lake, ie. 3 or more to come close to a 5k. However, that is certainly not a requirement and is left up to the discretion of respective walkers and teams.

By supporting NAMIWalks Montgomery County, you helped create a more compassionate and inclusive community, where mental health is prioritized. You not only helped to raise awareness and vital funds but also served as a symbol of hope for individuals and families who need our help now more than ever before.
Thank you also to our event volunteers, sponsors, and organizers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the success of this year's walk. Your dedication and hard work were instrumental in bringing everything together, and we couldn't have done it without you.
Although our NAMIWalks event has come to an end, our 2023 Recognition Program will continue through June 19th and offers a variety of limited-edition NAMIWalks merchandise that you can still earn. So please, keep up the incredible fundraising efforts, and let's reach our goals #Together4MH!

Event Note: Shady Grove Medical Center’s Behavioral Health Services team and Rio Lakefront in Gaithersburg unveiled a unique mental health project called The Serenity Spot during NAMIWalks Montgomery County MD 2023 at the entertainment complex. The Serenity Spot is a resting place along the Adventist HealthCare Path to Wellness trail at Rio Lakefront. In the Serenity Spot, users will be able to sit, reflect and connect to an Adventist HealthCare curated playlist to let the mind travel freely to a calming space. Nature-themed art and colored glass features will enhance the calming environment. The space will highlight Adventist HealthCare's Behavioral Health offerings.
