How long is the route?

NAMIWalks Maryland's route follows the Inner Harbor Promenade and past the National Aquarium.  We encourage everyone to do the route twice, totaling in a 2.7 mile walk.  Printed route maps can be found at the information desk and route cheerleaders will be placed around the route to assist walkers.

What if it rains?

Mental health is important, RAIN OR SHINE.  You can count us to walk ON - a little rain won't stop us!

Where do I park?

Parking for NAMIWalks Maryland is offered this year through our friends at SpotHero!  We recommend booking convenient and affordable parking in advance through SpotHero, the nation's leading parking reservations app.

To reserve your parking spot, visit the NAMIWalks Maryland SpotHero Parking Page and book a spot with rates up to 50% off drive-up.

Handicap parking is also available for participants.  Please contact Danielle at [email protected] for additional information.

Are there bathrooms available?

Yes!  Portable toilets will be provided on Walk Day through Bobby's Pottys.  They will be situated behind the volleyball courts near the bleachers.

I registered online.  Do I need to check-in on Walk Day?

Yes, all participants must check-in on Walk Day.  You can check-in at the check-in desk or scan the QR codes on the various signs posted on the field to check-in digitally.

Here's how you can register:

  • We encourage everyone to register in advance ONLINE.

Should I bring food?

That's up to you!  We'll have free snacks and water for all participants.

Can I donate offline or send in my check/cash donations prior to the Walk?

Absolutely!  We accept cash and checks mailed to our NAMI Maryland office at:
10632 Little Patuxent Parkway, Suite 454
Columbia, MD 21044

Please include the name of the Walker and the team the donation should be applied to.  Make all checks out to NAMI Maryland.

Can I donate at the Walk?

Of course!  We encourage everyone to donate on Walk Day.  Walk Day is a celebration of months worth of community conversations leading up to the event, but reaching our fundraising goal is important, too!  Funds raised through NAMIWalks allow us to continue and expand important NAMI programs throughout our state.

You can deposit all donations - check, cash, or card - at the Donations Tent on Walk Day.

I raised $100 or more...I'm getting a shirt right?

Yep!  When you finish checking in, pop on over to the t-shirt tent to pick up your shirt.  Although we do our best to have a large variety of sizes available, it is impossible to predict what needs will be on Walk Day.  All shirts are on a first-come, first-serve basis!

Walk with us in 2023

The power of our mission is being felt as never before. The achievement of "Mental Health for All" has never felt this critical yet this close to being realized.

It's not how far we walk at NAMIWalks Maryland on Saturday, May 20th, 2023 at Rash Field in the heart of downtown Baltimore, but how far we've come to make our milestones count. With your support and high spirits, we intend to make an unprecedented impact on mental health in our community.

When you participate in NAMIWalks, you are:

- Promoting public awareness of mental health to reduce stigma by reaching millions of people through your personal networks

- Raising funds for NAMI’s free, top-rated mental health programs and supporting our mission of recovery-focused support, education, and advocacy for individuals and loved ones affected by mental health conditions

- Building community and using NAMIWalks as a positive platform for discussion around openly talking about mental health conditions, letting people know they are not alone.

This year, changing the world begins at Rash Field, Inner Harbor in Baltimore.

There are many ways you can make a difference with NAMIWalks: as a sponsor, team captain, team member, or an individual participant.  Registering for NAMIWalks is quick, easy, and free.  Every participant who raises $100 or more receives our exclusive 2023 NAMIWalks Your Way Maryland t-shirt!

However you participate in NAMIWalks, you will be joining NAMI's national movement!
