NAMIWalks is an opportunity for corporations and organizations to be the difference between mental health challenges and the mental health changes that we are privileged to address.
NAMI's workplace mental health survey revealed that 74% of employees say that it is appropriate to talk about mental health at work but only 58% say that they would personally feel comfortable doing so. The most common reasons employees cited for feeling uncomfortable discussing their mental health at work were stigma, others not talking about their mental health and not wanting to seem weak. The gap between employees wanting to talk about their mental health and the stigma of doing so is what NAMIWalks aims to change.
NAMIWalks is hope. NAMIWalks is inclusion. NAMIWalks is empowerment. NAMIWalks is compassion.
The NAMIWalks National Team Program allows corporations and organizations that have locations across North America to participate in multiple NAMIWalks events as a unified company. Show that your corporation or organization doesn't just walk the walk, you are the walk.
