We invite you to make a difference— for yourself, for your mental health, and for the countless others who need support.
Brain Waves for Change (BWC) is a 501(c)(3) youth organization that brings accessible, engaging mental and brain health education to our community through creative, hands-on learning. We believe that mental health awareness starts with education, conversation, and action. As high school students, we see firsthand how academic pressure and competition can create a toxic environment that weighs heavily on mental well-being. Too often, we see students struggle in isolation, afraid to speak up. We feel overwhelmed and unheard, yet minimal action is taken.
That's why this year, we fight to shatter stigma, bridge the knowledge gap, and to foster understanding in a community where no one feels alone. Mental health affects us all. No one is immune. And no one should suffer in silence.
We are proud to join NAMIWalks Westchester to raise funds to support essential mental health programs and services. On May 17, we will walk for those struggling, for those healing, and to empower our community to speak openly, fearlessly, and with hope. Most of all, we walk together. With every step, we build a stronger, more supportive community— one that lifts each other up, celebrates progress, and reminds us that no one is alone in this journey.
Join us! Whether you give time, energy, or just your presence, you'll make a difference. One step, one conversation, one connection at a time.
“No one NAMIWalks alone,” that’s the mantra we walk by at the community’s most important mental health fundraising event.
Sincerely,
Brain Waves for Change Team
