You are probably familiar with the phrase the "Glass Half Full" focusing on the power of positive thinking. This is an attitude my parents (Juliette's grandparents) always instilled in me and my 6 siblings throughout the ups and downs of many life situations and we strive to ingrain in our families. Many individuals living with a mental illness have a unique challenge to view everyday situations optimistically. This is because the way their brain processes things makes it extremely difficult to experience the "Glass Half Full". We want them to know that their feelings are valid and not something to be ashamed of.
We are walking with NAMI for our 5th year now for our own team "Glass Half Full" because the work NAMI does is very important to us. NAMI (the National Alliance on Mental Illness) is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans impacted by mental illness.
Donating to NAMI through our page is easy, fast and secure. Your donation will make a difference and help people and families affected by mental illness right here in our region.
Thank you for supporting us! Please check with your employer about Matching your Gift as NAMI is an approved organization for most Corporate Matching Gift Programs.
