What is NAMIWalks Chicago?
NAMIWalks Chicago is a FREE 5k walk that gathers thousands of advocates to raise awareness around mental health, end stigma and fundraise for crucial mental health services. This walk features beautiful scenery along the lake, live music, refreshments, bounce castles, face painters, giveaways, and more!

It’s easy to walk--just register on this site as an individual, team captain, or with a team. Teams can wear unique t-shirts and  bring custom signs to show their team pride. Bring your friends, co-workers, family members, kiddos, and pups! You can take a peek at last year’s walk here.

How do I fundraise?

NAMIWalks Chicago is a peer-to-peer fundraising event, which means you can fundraise by spreading the word to friends, family, and co-workers to sponsor you. Fundraising is encouraged, but not required. You can kick-start your fundraising by customizing your individual or team page saying why you walk, and share your page via social media, text, or email!

Donations will be made directly through your page on the NAMIWalks website. All funds raised support NAMI Chicago’s services to raise awareness and support individuals with mental health conditions.

What is NAMI Chicago?

NAMI Chicago is the Chicago affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). We are an organization that provides hope and improves the quality of life for those whose lives are affected by mental illness. We connect people to care on our Helpline, teach students about the importance of mental health in Chicago’s schools, educate first responders on how to respond to a mental health crisis, and more. Walk with purpose. Lace up your shoes and join us on September 14th! We can't wait to see you.
