NAMIWalks Tarrant County
Join us on October 6, 2018
Sorry, registrations are currently closed.
Thank you for joining us for our 10th Annual NAMIWalks Tarrant County!
We had a fun day of celebrating and raising awareness and support for those whose lives are impacted by mental health conditions.
There is still time to help us reach our goal of $100,000. We are almost there: 70% to date! Now is the time to reach out to those who may have forgotten or have yet to donate.
We can accept donations until December 5th
We thank this year's Honorary Chairs: Tarrant County College District Chancellor Eugene V. Giovannini, Ed.D and Executive Chancellor and Provost Elva Concha LeBlanc, Ph.D
Rising Above Stigma on Wings of Hope
As NAMIWalks celebrates its 16th anniversary, we invite you to take part in NAMI’s largest and most successful mental health awareness and fundraising event in the country.
When you walk with NAMI Tarrant County, you join the movement to raise awareness of mental illness and raise funds for our mission to help individuals and families right here in our community.
NAMI Tarrant County is committed to providing the highest quality of programs and services for individuals who have lived experience with mental illness and their loved ones.
Your support allows us to:
- Increase the number of free classes we offer, purchase class materials, and train our Volunteer Support Team to become teachers, leaders, and advocates.
- Provide training to local law enforcement.
- Increase awareness of mental illness and eliminate stigma by giving people an opportunity to talk openly about mental illness through the NAMIWalks platform.
Mental illness impacts the lives of one in five individuals. In the counties we serve, that’s over 400,000 people. For one in four of these people this becomes a lifetime chronic illness, that’s approximately 100,000 in the counties we serve. We wouldn’t be able to offer our programs and services without the funds we receive through our Walk.
