Join us on May 22nd for “Hope Chalks,” your opportunity to participate with NAMI Yolo County in this year’s virtual NAMIWalks Your Way as part of Mental Health for All: United Day of Hope.
NAMI Yolo County supports the 1 in 5 who experience mental illness in our community and the 5 in 5 who are affected by it. Our vision is a stigma-free future where all people affected by a mental health condition experience resiliency and recovery with safe, affordable housing, meaningful activities, supportive relationships, and hope. The pandemic has only increased the need our organization’s services.
How can you show your support?
(1) Join this Hope Chalks team (click on "Join Our Team" above)!
(2) Ask your friends and family to support our team or sponsor your art with a donation (send a link to this page); we are competing with other teams in Northern California to see who can raise the most for hope!
(3) Donate $50 or more to our team and/or draw chalk art to demonstrate hope for a stigma-free future! If you donate $250 or more, we’ll deliver sidewalk chalk to you, along with design ideas.
DRAW chalk art or write a message of hope on the sidewalk outside your house or in an appropriate public space. Ask some friends (in a COVID-safe manner) to help!
PHOTOGRAPH the drawing and send to us at frie[email protected] so we can share it on the NAMI Yolo County web site
POST the photo on social media, tag @NAMI Yolo County on Facebook, and include the hashtags #notalone and #namiwalksnorcal
VISIT our team outside The Paint Chip at 217 F Street in Downtown Davis, CA on May 22nd from 8 am to noon – we’ll be drawing on the sidewalks!
Remember, you are #NotAlone – we are in this together!
