St Anne - Tomball

NAMIWalks Greater Houston

Our team is from St Anne Catholic Community in Tomball.  We are walking in memory of one of our fellow parishioners Vanessa Marie Rathway, our dear friend and loved one.  Vanessa lived with bipolar disorder, and so we are walking to end stigma and to give hope to others living with bipolar disorder and other mental illnesses.

Please JOIN OUR TEAM and walk with us or SUPPORT US by making a donation to our team or to one of our team members in memory of Vanessa.  Donations on this page are fast, secure and easy.  All funds raised directly support the mission of NAMI Greater Houston.

NAMI provides support, education and advocacy for millions of Americans affected by mental illness.  NAMI is a lifeline for many people affected by mental illness.  NAMI gives them help and hope.  NAMI is also supporting the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston to develop of a mental illness ministry within our Catholic community.

The 5-km (3-mile) walk will be held Saturday, 6 May 2017 in Sam Houston Park (1000 Bagby St, Houston, TX 77002).  Check-in starts at 8 am, and the walk starts at 9 am.

God bless you for your support!

"It is everyone's duty to make an active response; our actions must show that mental illness does not create insurmountable distances, nor prevent relations of true Christian charity with those who are its victims. Indeed it should inspire a particularly attentive attitude..." Pope John Paul II, International Conference for Health Care Workers, on Illnesses of the Human Mind, February 11, 1984
