Support Me

As many of you know, I have suffered through several bouts of major depression in the last few years. The worst was the first, when I was living in Paris, newly-married, and succeeding in my PhD studies. This was 2010 and things fell apart for me at a break neck pace that fall. In what seemed like a blink of an eye, I became a suicidal, dysfunctional wreck who could barely get out of bed.

At times, I thought I would never get better. But this was before I knew NAMI and SueNAMI and her partner Linda of Centre, Alabama. They taught me the tools to cope and manage my depression, and so many more in this organization have helped me maintain my emotional stability since then.

I walk out of a sense of gratitude. I walk out of a sense of hope that through NAMI I can provide for others what Sue and Linda provided for me. We are stronger in our mental illnesses together. Your donations can help us build and grow and reach more people going through suicidal crisis like I went through in 2010.

Contributions of any and all sizes are greatly appreciated. Gifts are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
