Team Captain Ward's Walkers NAMIWalks Your Way Northwest

Hi everyone!

I won't mince words: this organization has saved my life. People here have believed in my recovery when I didn't.

As you know, I live with major depressive disorder, PTSD and OCD-based anxiety. I have been fortunate enough to have access to effective treatment and a wonderful support system; however, as we know all too well, not everyone is so lucky.

NAMI is a very dear organization to me. On a shoestring, and with the help of dedicated volunteers, we are able to offer support, education and advocacy and let people know they don't need to face mental illness - like any other illness - alone.

Too often those of us living with illness and our loved ones feel disconnected and isolated, and unable to navigate a complex health system. NAMI exists to fill in those gaps.

Please join me again this year with a donation or as a member of our team, and help us make a statement that mental health matters, and that no one should be embarrassed to seek help. Recovery is possible!
