I've joined NAMI (NATIONAL ALLIANCE FOR MENTALLY ILL) this year after suffering from major depression since my boys were born. I want to be active in the NAMI communIty so that we can learn to destigmatize and learn to help the people afflicted with mental illness. One in five adults in this country suffer from one or another type of mental illness. 20% of children ages 13 -18 have or will have serious mental illnesses.
Please join me this May 4th for NAMIWalks Greater Philadelphia, at the Montgomery County Community College, Blue Bell, PA for 5k walk. Check in time is 8 am and walk begins at 10 am. And I will be grateful if you could walk with me (no cost) and/or walk / donate to my team (DTOWN). THANK YOU!
I am walking with NAMI because the work they do is very important to me. NAMI (the National Alliance on Mental Illness) is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans impacted by mental illness.
Did you know that :
NAMI provides support, education, and advocacy to hundreds of thousands of families, individuals, educators, mental health service providers, and law enforcement professionals each year. NAMIWalks helps us continue to provide these programs at no cost to the community.
Donating to NAMI through my page is easy, fast and secure. Your donation will make a difference and help people and families affected by mental illness right here in our region.
