NAMIWalks New York City Metro

Welcome to my personal NAMIWalks fundraising page.  I am walking with NAMI because the work they do is very important to me. NAMI (the National Alliance on Mental Illness) is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans impacted by mental illness.

Donating to NAMI through my page is easy, fast and secure. Your donation will make a difference and help people and families affected by mental illness right here in our region. Thank you for your support!

Mental Health is something our society has not given proper attention for too long now. I am an author, blogger, wife and daughter but mental illness holds no prejudice.

I have been struggling and surviving for ten years. I, like many, lived without the knowledge or education about mental illness or suicide. I am a survivor of multiple attempts - the first of which was at fourteen years old, the last of which was in the fall of 2015 at 23 years old.

I'm diagnosed with Bipolar 1 and Borderline Personality Disorder. I'm not ashamed of that, I'm not scared of that and I won't let anyone define me by that.

I'm alive because I have a voice. I'm alive because I can reach people. Through my blog, through my volunteering and through my activism I can use my struggle for good.

Every single dollar counts. Every single dollar goes towards the future of our society.
