The cold and clammy weather couldn't keep away the crowd of 1,000 people who gathered on Walk Day to celebrate and support NAMI Greater Milwaukee!

We have exceeded our goal.... thanks to YOU!

We still have t-shirts for anyone who qualified but may have missed the Walk due to the weather.  Please let us know if you would like to make an appointment to pick up a shirt.

Bill Zaferos speaking at the NAMI Walk!  “ I’m here to tell you there is hope. I am living proof that you can have mental illness and can lead a fulfilling life. But you’ve got to push ahead. Your family and friends are there to support you. NAMI is there to help you. If you suffer from mental illness remember, a river cuts through rock not because of its power, but its persistence. Hang in there. Know that there is hope. But most of all remember, know that you are not alone.”

We had a great time and decided we’ll be back this year with a team!  Mental illness is the most misunderstood and underrated disease. The spotlight must remain on the vulnerable people who need our help and support. - Mary Lynn & Doug Brzyck
