Register DonateKeep it Green:Any participants who bring their own water bottle will receive a "It's a Good Day to be Green" sticker. Any participants who ride their bike, walk, take a bus or carpool to Olin-Turville Park, will receive a "I'm Cool Because I Keep it Green" sticker. Activities:There will be a "My Little Farm" inflatable for ages 5 and under. There will be a "Castle Bouncy House" for ages 6+. There will be a scavenger hunt with free prizes, a Taiko Drumming performance and more TBA. Dogs:Leashed dogs are now welcome at Olin-Turville Park, but not allowed in the Barn/Pavilion. Don't forget to bring water and clean up supplies for your furry companion! Weather:This is a rain or shine event. In the event of severe weather, participants will be notified via emails, social media, and this website. Event Date/Time:Saturday October 7, 2023 10:30am - 2:30pm The Walk begins at Noon.

Agenda:10:30am - Noon: Games, Refreshments, Entertainment Noon - 1pm: the Walk. The 5k route follows the bike path on John Nolen Drive, from Olin Park to the Monona Terrace and back. Walkers can walk shorter distances by turning around at any point. 1:00pm - 2:30pm more Games, Refreshments, Entertainment Refreshments:There will be sub sandwiches, bagels & cream cheese, apples, granola bars and cheese sticks. Please bring your own water bottle (and earn a sticker!). There will be a limited supply of single use bottles of water. Location:

Parking:Please try to park at the Goodman Pool parking lot, 325 W. Olin Ave, Madison, WI 53715. There will be a free shuttle bus running continuously between the Goodman Pool and Olin-Turville Park from 10am to 3pm. There is limited parking at Olin Park. Do not park in the "double" boat trailer stalls or you will get a parking ticket from the City of Madison. The old Wis Medical Society building parking lot is no longer available to us. Parking spots will be available near the Barn/Pavilion for cars with a handicapped sticker. Registration:There is no cost to register. Fundraising is encouraged. Please register online if you are able to. There will be paper and pencil registrations on Walk Day at Olin Park. All ages, including children, must be registered. Volunteers Needed:Please help us put NAMIWalks Posters all over town. Call 608-249-7188 to arrange pick up of posters Saturday October 7th: Walk Day - We will need volunteers in shifts, all day between 8am - 4pm at Olin-Turville Park. Checks/CashCash donations can be delivered in person on Walk Day, or to the NAMI Dane County office. Please do not mail cash. Checks should be made out to NAMI Dane County. Please write "Walk" in the memo line along with the name of the Walker (and team if applicable) so we know who to credit.
