Mental health matters.

One in five individuals faces a mental health challenge in the United States. This number could be higher because not all cases are reported. At the National Alliance on Mental Illness of Virginia (NAMI Virginia), we see you. You are not alone. We offer both help and hope to individuals and families with mental health needs across the Commonwealth. To ensure mental health for all, NAMI Virginia's statewide HelpLine, support groups, peer trainings, statewide advocacy, and much more are free to all.

“This year promises to be a banner year for the thousands who turn out to help us move closer to our goal of Mental
Health for All,” according to Kathy Harkey, NAMI Virginia’s Executive Director.

The annual NAMIWalks Virginia is an occasion for the community to come together to support mental health for all. Our sponsors, partners, walkers, and teams help us raise funds for all of NAMI Virginia's programs. Celebrating mental health, honoring individuals, combating stigma, and promoting awareness, thousands of individuals and supporters will walk because mental health matters.

What Is NAMIWalks?

NAMIWalks is the largest mental health awareness and fundraising effort in America. NAMIWalks brings together thousands of individuals and supporters to celebrate mental illness recovery, honor those who have lost their lives to mental illness and help raise funds, combat stigma and promote awareness.
Registration is free. Fundraising is optional but highly recommended. Walk Day events are free and open to all.
Please plan on joining us on Sat., Oct. 8th at the Diamond in Richmond.
