Twin Falls - Canyon Rim Trail - NAMI Walkers be joining the ParkRun runners on their established 5k along the scenic Canyon Rim Trail. Show up at 8:30 am for an 8:50 am briefing and a 9:00 am start. The course follows an out & back style. Starting on the trail underneath the Perrine Bridge, participants head east to a turn around point just before the trial turns towards Pole Line Road. Continue past the Visitor Center, to another turn around point just before Canyon Springs Road. Head back around the original turn around point once more, before crossing the finish line on the lawn in front of the Visitor Center. 

 
 

Pocatello - Bonneville Park - Show up at 11 am to check out the expo and gather your team, we'll start at 11:30. The 5k route is the same for the Portneuf Valley Run Series, the Firecracker Frenzy. Register at 11 am for an 11:30 am start time. Walk/Run begins at Bonneville Park, and heads out entirely on city sidewalks around the Holt Arena and back to the park.

Boise - Ann Morrison Park - Show up at 11 am to check out the expo and gather your team, we'll start at 11:30. You can access the Old Timer's Shelter from the Royal Blvd. entrance off of 9th Street/Capitol Blvd. at the East end of the park.

There is a large parking lot available for use behind the Parks and Recreation offices and plenty of street parking.

Our marked 5k-ish route is a Greenbelt loop that begins and ends near the Old Timer's Shelter at the East end of Ann Morrison Park. Follow the South side of the river to the bridge overlooking the upstream wave at the  J.A. and Kathryn Albertson Family Foundation Boise Whitewater Park, then travel back along the North side of the Boise River to cross the bridge downstream from the river raft pull out at Ann Morrison Park to return to where you started.

Idaho Falls - Snake River Landing - Show up at 11 am to check out the expo and gather your team, we'll start at 11:30. This is a flat 5k along the Snake River Parkway, then along a bike path that intersects with Porter Canal, around and back again.

 

Other information and FAQs

Will I get a medal for coming in First?

Only if you bring one for yourself! This isn't a timed competition at all. There won't be any starting gun or timing chips to keep track of. No trophies to lug home. No platform to stand on at the end. There aren't any age group prizes either.

Nope. None of that. In fact, the routes aren't necessarily even a 5k, except in Twin Falls. In Boise It's closer to a 5.3k.

What this is, is a feel good opportunity to come together, stretch your legs, bust stigma surrounding mental illness, enjoy a fabulous fall afternoon, all while raising money for mental health education and support, 100% of which stays in Idaho.

After the event, stick around to enjoy snacks and music. You can peruse our expo tables for information and activities, and each participant will get a swag bag of goodies.

Each registered participant who raises $100 or more will get a t-shirt and there are prizes at different fundraising increments above that. There will also be drawing prizes!

Leashed dogs are allowed at all sites!
