Find A Walk

The Basics:

Where and when is the Walk?

Saturday, May 10th at loanDepot Park "Marlins Stadium" at 501 Marlins Way, Miami FL 33125. See map here!

What if it rains?

This is a RAIN OR SHINE so you can count on the Walk for Mental Health Awareness to be ON - we won't let a little rain stop us!

Where do we park?

Parking is FREE at Home Plate and Third Base Garages

Home Plate Garage (1502 NW 7th Street)

Third Base Garage (1402 NW 7th Street)

Are there bathrooms available?

Yes! You can access bathrooms and portapottys at the stadium both in the West Plaza and in the stadium as we walk through. ADA accessible toilets are available.

Registration

Do I need to register?

Yes! Everyone over the age of 10 needs to register. You can also register online on the Fundraise4NAMI App (for androids and iphones)!

I registered online, do I need to check-in at the walk?

You will need to go by registration to get your shirt (for those that raised $100 dollars).

I'm a Team Captain, can I check in my whole team?

No, each participant needs to register themselves. We encourage you to register ONLINE now.

There is a brief security check in order to get into the stadium. We encourage you to pack light to facilitate this process.

The Walk

I'm not sure that I/someone I am walking with can walk for long, but I/we still want to walk.  What can I do?

We've got you covered!  There is a longer and shorter route available.  The great news is - you can do as few (or as many!) loops as you'd like - and if don't want to walk- please still join us!  There are plenty of other festivities you can enjoy.

Short Route (less than 1k)

Full Route (5k)

One loop inside and three loops around the outside of the stadium is a full 5k. Some may just want to complete one loop inside and one loop outside- it's up to you! There will be water stations throughout the route.

Are strollers allowed?

Yes!  Strollers and wagons are allowed.  We are family-friendly and hope to see lots of smiling youngsters on May 10th!

What about dogs?

Unfortunately, only service dogs are allowed.

Fun Stuff

What types of activities are available at the Walk?

We'll have: community resource booths, snacks and water, a live dj, a bounce-house, comfort dogs, batting cages, and other activities from our sponsors!

Should I bring food?

That's up to you!  We'll have snack bars, fruit and water.

Donations

Can I donate offline or send in my check/cash donations prior to the Walk?

YES! Please make checks payable to: NAMI Miami-Dade, 3150 SW 38th Ave Suite 500, Miami, FL 33146 (If you want to make a donation on someone's behalf, please include it in the subject line!)

Can I donate at the Walk?

Yes - we encourage everyone to donate at the walk!

The Walk for Mental Health Awareness is designed to be a fun and inspiring day for all, but reaching our fundraising goal is equally important, as it allows us to continue and/or expand important NAMI programs throughout Miami!

How can I donate on Walk Day?

We accept the following forms of payment on Walk Day: Cash, Check, Online.

You will be asked at check-in if you'd like to make a donation. You can also log into www.namiwalks.org/miami to make a donation right from your mobile device!

T-Shirts

I raised $100 or More....I'm getting a Shirt, Right?

Yes!  When you check-in you will receive a voucher for your shirt that you can take to the T-shirt table to redeem!

Although we do our best to have a large variety of sizes available (Small through Adult 5XL) it is impossible to predict what the needs will be on Walk Day.

I have 3 people who donated $100 each to me (or my team) - do they get shirts?

No.  Shirts are only for individual fundraisers who raise at least $100.

Our team has 5 people and we raised a combined $500, do we get 5 shirts?

No.  Shirts are for individual fundraisers who raise at least $100.
