We know the arts have a unique power to speak to the human condition. Through our work, we have found that art is an excellent catalyst to spark important conversations about the causes and stigmatizing myths surrounding mental health conditions. Thousands of creators throughout history have also used their art as a fun, creative catalyst to share their personal lived experience. That’s why we are launching NAMIWalks Your Way Maryland: Creativity Connects campaign to explore the intersection between art and mental health. This campaign will culminate in a virtual art showcase on May 22nd, 2021.
Share with us how creativity helps you connect and you could join our list of incredible featured artists! Remember, creativity isn't just about music and visual arts. It can be anything that gets your creative energy flowing: cooking, gardening, arts & crafts, or even re-organizing your garage! If you are interested in being a part of this movement, download our guidelines detailing how you can help us with this crucial awareness campaign.
We hope you will join us to jumpstart conversations about mental health and recovery!
