Together, we are strong enough to lift hope with The Matías Rosado Foundation.

Together, we are NAMIWalks.

It will take all of us to demand victory over mental illness. That's why we provide a safe space at NAMIWalks in everything we do, for everyone who joins our mission. In fact, we embrace it.

We invite you to take the walk of your life - with NAMIWalks. Each participant will stand by you and walk by your side, every step of the way.

Together, we will make a powerful change in our community. "Mental Health for All," here we come.

Don't wait another moment to add your name to our movement. The people who need the help that you empower cannot afford to wait. No matter their mental health challenge, they stand to benefit greatly by your decisiveness today.

It's a walk, a very special walk. And it's a lifetime's journey - the lifetimes you will change by joining us today.

This is your NAMIWalks moment.

Join us at the Kickoff on Saturday, August 9, 2025 from 10:00am – 11:00am
at SouthPark Regional Library Community Room. RSVP now.

About Our Presenting Sponsor, Matías Rosado Foundation

Matías was a quiet, thoughtful, kind and gentle soul, except when he laced up his skates. Known as the “Gentle Giant” as he grew to 6’4” of pure muscle, he played hockey from the age of seven, and it was a passion that created lasting friendships.

Matías had equal passion for the Bruins, Patriots and Red Sox, and found his greatest happiness on the beach at Weekapaug, Rhode Island, and during endless summers in Vermont with family. Those who knew Matías best were fortunate to experience his incredible sense of humor and generous smile.

Setting incredibly high expectations for himself, Matías was known to spend Friday nights at home studying. While an incredible athlete, it was his dedication to his academic pursuits that paid off when he graduated Summa Cum Laude from Marvin Ridge High School in May 2020 and was recognized as a National Hispanic scholar. He was accepted to his top choice college – The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he attended his freshman year.

Yet behind his beautiful smile, Matías suffered from depression and a sense of hopelessness. Despite the endless love and support of his family and the care of great physicians, he could not overcome his mental illness. Matías Enríque Rosado passed away on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at the age of 19.

Matías’ spirit and memory will continue to live on through the love of his family and friends, and through the work of the Matías Rosado Foundation.
